Palmistry (Hast Rekha Vigyan)

Palmistry, also known as Chiromancy or Hast Rekha Vigyan, is an ancient divination practice that involves the study of the palm's lines, mounts, and shapes to interpret personality traits and predict future events. With roots dating back thousands of years across various cultures including Indian, Chinese, Persian, and European traditions, palmistry has been practiced by sages, seers, and scholars throughout history.

Palmistry is based on the principle that our hands are a mirror of our mind, body, and soul. The dominant hand (usually the right for right-handed people) is said to represent the conscious mind and present/future, while the non-dominant hand shows innate characteristics and past influences. The major lines - heart line, head line, life line, and fate line - along with various minor lines and mounts corresponding to planets, reveal a person's emotional nature, intellectual capacity, vitality, career path, and significant life events. Modern palmistry combines traditional techniques with psychological insights, making it a powerful tool for self-discovery and personal growth. Students of palmistry learn to analyze hand shapes (earth, air, fire, water types), flexibility, finger lengths, nail characteristics, and dermatoglyphics (fingerprints) to provide comprehensive readings.
